ENRICHMENT PROJECTS
October 30 - November 3
This week in social studies we will read about Earth's landforms and natural resources.  Water is
Earth's largest natural resource and can be found in many places, including rivers.  The
Mississippi River is the longest river in the United States.  Follow the underlined link to learn
more about the Mississippi River by going on a virtual scavenger hunt.  You will probably need
help from a parent while completing the scavenger hunt.  To receive full credit: print and
complete
Mississippi River Scavenger Hunt by visiting the links under "Lesson Plan", record the
name of the person who helped you, and turn in by Friday.  The project is worth 100 points.
November 6 - 10
This week's project involves using your sense of money!  The project has two parts which must
be completed to receive full credit.  You will need to print the
handout to turn in as evidence
of your work.  You will first visit the
Virtual Money site and then go to the US Mint website.
Follow the project directions carefully so that you can receive up to 100 points in math.
Projects are due no later than Monday, November 13th.  Have fun!
