Hi!  My name is Mary Elizabeth Copeland.  My family and friends call
me Betsy.  I am a member of Minor Memorial United Methodist
Church in Walls where I regularly attend Sunday School and Worship
Service.  My mom and I direct the Cherub Choir which meets on
Wednesday nights.  Our Cherubs are ages 2 - 5 and they are so cute
when they sing!  My favorite song for them to sing is "I'm a Little
Teapot."  I love the Lord and am thankful for the many blessings in
my life.  He has given me a wonderful family to share my life with. I
love spending time with both  my family and Josh's family.  When I
am with my mom, sister, and brother things sometimes get a little
loud, but we have a lot of good times!

This will be my ninth year to teach third grade.  I taught at Horn Lake
Elementary for four years and this is my fifth year at Pleasant Hill
Elementary.  My husband and I have been married for nine years.
Josh works for Cooper Freight in Memphis.  He likes Big Trucks!  I
hope that you will get to meet him this year.  We are parents to our
beautiful daughters Ainslee (2 years) and Bella (7 months).  God is so
good!  We live in Horn Lake with our fur child Dusty.  You will hear
many stories about Dusty because he is a very curious cat!

I have always lived in Desoto County.  I graduated from Horn Lake
High School in 1996 and then from the University of Mississippi in
2000.  My family also lives in Desoto County.  My mom and younger
brother and sister live close by while my older brother and his wife
live in Arkansas.  My sister, Traci, is currently working on her
teacher certification and is an assistant in the computer lab at
Southaven Intermediate.

Mr. Copeland's parents and brothers also live in Desoto County.  His
mom is a special education teacher at Hernando High School.  She
introduced me to my husband!  Josh's dad is a truck driver for
Roadway Express.  His older brother lives in Southaven with his wife
and children.  Josh's younger brother lives in Nesbit.

I love to teach and plan fun ways to learn!  I spend a lot of time on
"school stuff" because I enjoy it so much.  I believe that education
should be an exciting journey and I will do my best to make it that
way for you.
